Crytsal Palace and West Ham lead chase for Spurs midfielder.
Crystal Palace and West Ham United are reportedly keeping a close eye on developments at White Hart Lane as they look into the possibility of signing Scott Parker according to The Mirror.
Parker has been a highly influential member of the Tottenham dressing room in recent years but has struggled with fitness over the last couple of seasons.
Spurs have brought in a number of new midfielders of late, with Brazilian star Paulinho set to join the likes of Lewis Holtby, Moussa Dembele and Sandro.
That could lead to Parker finding his first team choices limited and deciding his future may be better served elsewhere.
Parker is reportedly keen to remain in the Premier League as he hopes to ensure he remains in Roy Hodgson’s thoughts for next summer’s World Cup.
A move to QPR had been touted earlier in the summer but it appears that move never got off the ground on account of Parker’s reluctance to drop down to the Championship.
Premier League new-boys Palace would love to sign Parker and have made enquiries about his availability. The Selhurst Park side would currently appear to be favourites to sign Parker; West Ham chairman David Gold admitted the club would love to sign Parker but are currently devoting their resources towards signing a new striker.
