Check in to Transfer Window: Done Deal Alerts

West Ham are preparing a bid for Juventus forward Fabio Quagliarella according to the Daily Mirror.

Sam Allardyce is keen on strengthening his attack and is keen to bring in the experienced Italian international on a loan deal after seeing his side stumble to a limp defeat at home to Stoke City.

30 year old Quagliarella had been strongly linked with a move to Norwich City earlier this summer and could be tempted by a move to the Premier League after seeing his first team chances at Juventus limited following the arrivals of Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente.

Quagliarella has managed just nine minutes of Serie A football from the Turin based side’s first two fixtures of the season.

With Andy Carroll being prone to injury and Modibo Maiga struggling for form there is certainly a need to bring in effective striking additions before the summer transfer window slams shut.
