Loftus Road side look to boost Super Hoops attack.
QPR are reportedly set to sign free agent forward Carlton Cole according to the Daily Mail.
The experienced former England man was expected to re-sign for his former club West Ham but such a deal would now appear to be off the table which has seemingly let in Harry Redknapp who seems keen to strengthen his attack with a move for the 29 year old.
Cole was released by the Hammers in the summer on completion of his contract and is believed to have held talks with Hull City, Crystal Palace, St Etienne and Turkish clubs Kasimpasa and Karabukspor but is still without a club.
QPR have started the season well and sit top of the Sky Bet Championship table but have managed just seven goals in seven matches so one can see why Redknapp is keen to bring in other striking options and knows that Cole has proven successful in the second tier of English football.
Cole has scored 75 goals in 325 appearances and has won seven England caps.
