Misfiring striker hoping to get back to his best.
Newcastle’s misfiring striker Papiss Cisse has vowed to rediscover his best form in front of goal, according to Sky Sports.
The Senegalese international looked a superb signing for the Magpies when he first made the move to the Premier League, scoring 13 goals in his first 14 outings for the club, including some memorable solo efforts.
However, Cisse has now failed to find the back of the net in his last 13 appearances for Alan Pardew’s side, and looks a player short of confidence and form.
Still, he insists that he is working on improving on the pitch, and believes his knack for scoring goals has not left him.
“I will score goals this season. I have not forgotten how to score a goal,” he said.
“I believe in myself and I feel I am coming close to good form.
“I am sure it will happen for me soon.”
