Former Manchester United winger open to January switch.
Newcastle winger Gabriel Obertan admits he is considering leaving the club this January after becoming frustrated with life on the bench at St James’ Park, the Daily Star reports.
The Frenchman initially joined the Magpies from Manchester United for £3m in 2011, but has continued to struggle to establish himself as Premier League quality for Alan Pardew’s side after also flopping at Old Trafford.
No longer a regular in the starting lineup for Newcastle, the 24-year-old admits he cannot continue to sit on the bench and will consider his options in December.
“Anything is possible. I will see what’s going on until December but I can’t keep being on the bench,” he said.
