Etihad Stadium side ready to splash the cash in pursuit of French international.
Man City are reportedly considering launching a £40m bid for highly rated Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba according to the Daily Mirror.
The former Man United man has been strongly linked with a move away from Serie A title holders Juventus but Antonio Conte’s side will not offload the French international for anything less than a massive fee.
Pogba had an excellent first season in Italy, making 38 appearances in all competitions and helping Juventus to the Serie A title and the commanding midfielder has been in fine form in the current campaign.
Man City boss Manuel Pellegrini invested over £90m in new additions over the summer and has a fair few central midfield options but may feel Pogba offer a box to box presence that could be an improvement on what he currently has in his armoury.
Pogba opted to leave Man United last summer after failing to agree a new contract, he then joined Juventus on a four year deal and as such a move to Man City would be a controversial one to say the least.
The rangy midfielder is now a regular in Didier Deschamps French national team set-up.
