The 26 year old Belgian is ready to push for a White Hart Lane exit after being frozen out of first team affairs following Tottenham’s embarrassing 3-0 home defeat to West Ham.
The former Fulham man has started just one of Tottenham’s last four Premier League fixtures and on that occasion he was hauled off at half-time.
Newcastle United are just one of a host of clubs keeping tabs on the powerful midfielder with Aston Villa, Southampton, Cardiff City and Swansea City all said to be interested whilst Serie A side Napoli are also said to have targeted the Tottenham man.
Dembele spoke of his frustrations following defeat against the Magpies, stating:
“I can not be satisfied with it, of course, I just want to play as many games.
“The coach explained that he makes a tactical choice, he wants more defensive players in midfield.”
Tottenham spent £15m on Dembele and he was a first team regular last term but now battles Paulinho, Lewis Holtby, Etienne Capoue and Sandro for a central midfield berth.
