Serie A sleeping giants AC Milan are reportedly pondering a swoop for Manchester City defender Micah Richards after the player’s representatives contacted the club asking if they would be interested in making a move for the England man, according to Inside Futbol.

The Rossoneri have started to put the wheels of their January transfer plans in motion after a disappointing start to the campaign has seen them languishing in mid-table and are being besieged by agents of hopeful players from across Europe.
Richards has seen himself on the periphery of Manuel Pellegrini’s plans this season and has long been mooted with a switch to Italy following links to both Lazio and Inter Milan over the summer.
However, it remains to be seen as to whether Milan will actually make a move for the 25-year-old, or even if City would be willing to sell anyway.
Richards has made just six appearances for the club this season and though he had previously stated that he was not looking to quit the Etihad Stadium, the upcoming World Cup could force him to change his plans and reconsider.
