Englishman has a long-term contract at the Lane though.

The big-spending team from the South of France are understood to be keen to lure a new right back to the Principality next summer, although originally the club had wanted to sign the Gunners’ highly rated France international.

But with it now looking increasingly likely that Sagna will finally put pen to paper on a contract extension with the the north London club, Monaco have been forced to instead switch their focus elsewhere as they continue their search for an attacking right-sided full back for the next campaign.

And that search has seemingly taken them across north London to White Hart Lane and England international Walker, despite the fact that the 23-year-old only agreed to sign a new long-term deal with Tottenham in October that now runs until June 2019.

However, Monaco hope that the riches on offer in France may be enough to tempt the player, who has managed to register one goal and two assists in total in his 19 matches in all competitions so far this season, away from the capital next summer.
