The 31 year old will be out of contract in the summer but Etihad Stadium boss Manuel Pellegrini is ready to offload the England man this month.
Lescott knows he needs regular first team football in order to secure a spot in Roy Hodgson’s 2014 World Cup finals squad and may well therefore look to move this month.
AS Monaco, Newcastle United and Besiktas are all also said to be keen on the former Everton man, who has started just seven Premier League fixtures this season, and even then only doing so due to Vincent Kompany being sidelined.
Lescott is currently on a deal worth £90k a week and the experienced defender may well have to readjust his salary expectations if he is to secure a move away from the Etihad Stadium.
Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood has opted to use Michael Dawson and Romanian international Vlad Chiriches as his first choice central defensive partnership so a move to White Hart Lane may well lead Lescott having to unseat one of the two in order to make it into the North London club’s starting eleven.
