Juventus are ready to conduct something of a clear-out and are set to offer Tottenham strike pair Mirko Vucinic and Fabio Quagliarella according to TuttoSport.

Newly appointed White Hart Lane boss Tim Sherwood has seen his side score nine goals in four matches, in marked contrast to the lack of firepower the North London side experienced under Andre Villas-Boas, though summer signings Roberto Soldado and Erik Lamela managed just one of those goals and that came from the penalty spot.

Sherwood has welcomed back Emmanuel Adebayor into the fold and the Togo international has repaid that faith with four goals in recent weeks.

However there is scope for a new addition and one would imagine that of the pair on offer Sherwood would deem Montenegro international Vucinic the more ideal Juventus man to consider bringing in.

Jermain Defoe may well be offloaded to make way for new additions and one wonders how long Sherwood will stick with Argentine Lamela, who has scored just one goals in 17 appearances since his big money move from AS Roma.

One imagines that Juventus’s need to sell players is in view of their inability to make it through to the last 16 of the Champions League and clearly the arrival last summer of both Fernando Llorente and Carlos Tevez has lessened the involvement of both Vucinic and Quagliarella.
