Goodison Park side target former West Ham man.
Everton are readying a summer move for Napoli midfielder Valon Behrami according to Football Direct News.
The Goodison Park side are keen on the experienced Swiss international, who spent two and a half years at West Ham, with Toffees boss Roberto Martinez mindful that he will lose the services of loaned in midfielder Gareth Barry at the end of the current campaign.
Behrami moved to the San Paolo in July 2012 and started 32 of the club’s 38 Serie A fixtures but his chances under Rafa Benitez has been limited, with the 28 year old being selected in the new manager’s starting eleven in just over half their fixtures.
Therefore a move to the English top tier could be an option for Behrami.
Martinez will be aware that the former Lazio and Fiorentina man is able to fill a number of roles across the midfield and probably wouldn’t set Everton back a massive fee.
