Tottenham Hotspur are said to be willing to offer Manchester City defender Micah Richards an escape route from the Etihad by lining up a move for him this summer, according to Football Direct News.

The 25-year-old has been out of favour at the club over recent seasons as he has fallen behind Pablo Zabaleta for a starting spot and he has made only nine appearances over the past two seasons.
Having once been considered as one of the brightest prospects in the country he now appears to be one his way out of the club this summer and Spurs have emerged as favourites to bring him on board as a replacement for Jan Vertonghen.
The Belgian international admitted earlier this week that he may be set to leave the club this summer as Spurs look likely to miss out on a Champions League spot next year and the club are wasting no time in searching for a replacement.
And though Richards has been predominantly used as a right-back for the majority of his career he can operate in the middle, and has even stated in the past that he prefers to play in the middle.
