Wide man is unlikely to be offered a new deal at Eastlands.
Tottenhan Hotspur are hoping to take advantage of the current uncertainty surrounding the future of Manchester City midfielder James Milner by luring the Englishman to White Hart Lane next season, according to reports in the Sun on Sunday.

New City head coach Manuel Pellegrini is understood to be preparing to offload as many as six homegrown players come the end of the campaign, with the experienced Chilean said to be hugely unimpressed with the quality of the local talent currently at his disposal in the north west.
And as a result, the England international has still to be contacted by the mega-rich Premier League club about extending his stay at Eastlands, with Milner’s present deal now only running until June 30 2015.
However, the north Londoners are hoping to take advantage of Milner’s situation by offering the 28-year-old an escape route to White Hart Lane as recently appointed boss Tim Sherwood looks to completely reshape the first-team squad in the capital this summer.
Sherwood was scathing about his side’s limp display in their 4-0 thrashing at the hands of London rivals Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Saturday evening, and now wants Milner to be his first new purchase when the summer transfer window reopens in July.
