Goodison Park side chase Etihad Stadium duo.
Everton boss Roberto Martinez is keen on two Man City midfielders according to Football Direct News.
The Spanish manager will step up his pursuit of former Toffees star Jack Rodwell whilst also keeping an eye on midfielder Javi Garcia.
Rodwell has barely had a look-in this term having suffered with injury for much of the campaign and his chances of forcing his way ahead of the likes of Yaya Toure and Fernandinho are slim to none given the form the pair have shown this term.
Former Benfica man Garcia has struggled for form since moving to Man City back in August 2012 and has arguably come nowhere near justifying the £15.8m outlay the Premier League side paid by Roberto Mancini.
Garcia has made just eight Premier League starts this term.
Everton’s push for either of this Man City pair would be aided by qualification to the Europa League next term.
