Etihad Stadium side want Goodison Park defender.
Man City will look to lure Everton full-back Leighton Baines into a Etihad Stadium move this summer according to Football Direct News.

The 29 year old was the subject of failed bids from Man United last summer and has since signed a new Toffees deal so doesn’t look likely to leave Everton any time soon though City boss Manuel Pellegrini apparently sees the England man as a preferable option to Gael Clichy and Aleksandar Kolarov who currently share the role at left-back.
The England international has had a great season and under Roberto Martinez Everton are certainly a much improved outfit and as such there seems little reason for Baines to push or an exit.
Whilst a move to Premier League title holders Man City would no doubt lead to a massive pay-rise Baines seems very content at Everton.
Baines has overtaken Ashley Cole as first choice starter in Roy Hodgson’s England national team set-up and may well be just one of a number of talents Martinez looks to retain after an excellent season.
The likes of Ross Barkley, Seamus Coleman and John Stones are all likely to attract interest from ‘bigger’ clubs when the transfer window re-opens.
