White Hart Lane side look to conduct striking overhaul.
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is ready to listen to offers for top-scorer Emmanuel Adebayor as he looks to re-shape his White Hart Lane attack according to the Daily Mirror.
The 30 year old Togo international scored 14 goals in 25 appearances in all competitions last term, being one of the north London club’s few plus points in an otherwise disappointing campaign, but seemingly chairman Daniel Levy is happy to have the player’s massive £170k a week salary wiped off the club’s balance sheet.
AS Monaco are said to be interested in Adebayor though efforts to sell Spaniard Roberto Soldado, who Pochettino is also keen to sell, may prove a tougher ask.
The former Valencia man scored just six Premier League goals last season, four of those from the penalty spot, and any hope of Tottenham recouping the majority of the £26m they invested in the forward seems slim.
Pochettino will hope to welcome in young Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku to complement his attack though the Belgian is bound to have a host of suitors, some of whom may be able to offer the 21 year old Champions League action.
After respective 17 and 15 Premier League goal hauls at West Brom and Everton the former Anderlecht wants first team action at Stamford Bridge and if he doesn’t get his wish then one can expect a permanent exit for the exciting forward.
