Milner enjoying his time with Man City but might consider options after this season.
Manchester City midfielder James Milner wants to take his time to decide on his future with the English champions, reports the Independent.
The 28-year old England international is valued as a very essential squad player by boss Manuel Pellegrini, who has placed a lucrative new offer on the table for Milner, but the former Leeds United ace feels that he needs to be assured of more playing time before committing further.
Milner is in the last year of his contract and hinted that he would take time to review his situation.
“It’s a great club to be at. I enjoy every minute and winning trophies,” the midfielder said.
“But you do want to play as much as you can. The more I can play [then] that’s better for myself.
“Basically I want to be here as long as I’m playing. I love it here and hopefully I can be here for a long time to come.”
There is quite a bit of interest in the industrious and versatile midfielder from within the Premier League with the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal being among the top teams interested in him.
City meanwhile, might not mind keeping Milner for as long as he wants to stay without selling him as the Englishman helps fulfill their home-grown quota obligations for this season in addition to helping their squad rotation.
