Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is preparing one of his first major moves as the White Hart Lane head honcho, according to reports from the Mirror, who suggest that the former Southampton boss is set to complete a double deal worth £45 million.

Should they go through, the transfers would bring much needed reinforcements into a Spurs squad that has seen little more than cosmetic work so far this summer – with Ben Davies and Michel Vorm arriving from Swansea City.

The two players that Pochettino and sporting director Franco Baldini are reported to be going for are:

Wilfried Bony (Swansea City)

The first of the pair is Swansea City striker Wilfried Bony, whose capture would make the Ivorian international the third player to arrive at White Lart Lane from the Liberty Stadium this summer.

The report suggests that Spurs have already tried to sign the powerful centre forward this summer – but Swans boss Garry Monk insists that it would take an “astronomical” offer to lure Bony away.
