Five Conclusions On The Premier League Title Race As Arsenal & Liverpool Slip Up This Weekend

2) Welbeck looks a good signing for Arsenal

In one of a number of talking points from the thrilling 2-2 draw at the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal fans can be pleased with a strong debut from £16m deadline day signing Danny Welbeck. The former Manchester United man looked lively and provided some moments of real quality, even if he should have scored when presented with a great chance in the first half, his chipped shot going agonisingly close as it rebounded back off the post.

Jack Wilshere and Alexis Sanchez may have stolen the show with two brilliant goals, but Welbeck certainly made an impression and helped the team look generally more dangerous than they did with the hapless youngster Yaya Sanogo leading the line in their last game against Leicester City. Although it is three draws in a row now for Arsene Wenger’s side, this looks like a good point against the champions.
