Jordan Rossiter reflects on dream debut

The 17-year-old became the second youngest player in the club’s history on Tuesday as he started against Middlesbrough in the Capital One Cup.

Brendan Rodgers’ side eventually triumphed on penalties after a 2-2 draw in extra-time and Rossiter opened the scoring for his boyhood club.

“To make my debut is a dream come true. I got told I was starting on Monday and I was a bit shocked, to be honest. But I just couldn’t wait to get out there and it couldn’t have gone better,” the teenager told the club’s website.
