When Oxlade-Chamberlain came on at half-time during the Three Lions’ Euro 2016 triumph over San Marino on Thursday there were five Gunners players on the pitch.
Including Theo Walcott the North Londoners have six first team players for the nation, a statistic only matched by the Merseysiders and the midfielder thinks this is helping the squad.
“Just knowing each other, off the pitch and on it, does really help in gelling the team together,” Oxlade-Chamberlain was quoted by the Telegraph.
