Tottenham are looking into potential goalkeeping options…
Tottenham are looking into the possibility of signing another goalkeeper, as they prepare for the potential exit of current number one stopper Hugo Lloris, who is growing frustrated with the club’s lack of progress.
Reports in the Daily Mirror claim that Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is eyeing up £9m-rated Toulouse keeper Ali Ahamada, who is set to be made available in the January transfer window, after telling his club that he won’t be signing a new deal.
The highly rated 23-year-old, whose contract runs out at the end of the season, is also interesting Portuguese giants Benfica and Valenciennes in his homeland.
Spurs already have Michel Vorm and Brad Friedel as back-up to Lloris, who is desperate to play Champions League football. The source claims that several clubs would be interested in the French international, should he choose to leave White Hart Lane.
The 27-year-old only signed a new five-year contract with the club during the summer, but that will do little to deter Europe’s big guns from making a multi-million pound bid if they thought a deal was a possibility.
