The Etihad Stadium side are currently without Edin Dzeko, Sergio Aguero and Stevan Jovetic and were left with having to use youngster Jose Angel Pozo during their narrow win over Leicester City on Saturday afternoon.

Pellegrini is ready to move in the January transfer window, despite being hampered by UEFA’s FFP (Financial Fair Play) guidelines, the Chilean stating;

“The transfer market is an option for us and it has been since we sold Alvaro Negredo,”

“We have been punished by UEFA and must have less players, but we have spent a lot less money this year.

“Until then, we must continue to play in the same way.”
