The West London side are struggling to stay clear of the relegation zone and have been overly reliant on Charlie Austin for goals and therefore any moves to strengthen the Super Hoops attack would be a wise one to consider.

32 year old Borriello hasn’t played a single minute for his Stadio Olimpico side this term and may well be open to a fresh challenge.

The former AC Milan man spent half of last term on loan at West Ham but managed just two appearances before injury ended his time at Upton Park.

QPR sit second from bottom in the Premier League table with the club’s away form a chief concern with Saturday’s defeat at Stoke City being their 11th in 11 outings.
