Aston Villa and Newcastle United have already made bids for the highly rated midfielder. Now that Spurs have got involved in the chase the Englishman will have a tough choice on deadline day. The North London club will have a tough time persuading the League One star to sign for them though.

Aston Villa hope that Fabian Delph’s recent contract will show they are committed to helping English talent, and looked to be in pole position to sign the 18-year-old before Mauricio Pochettino joined the race. Meanwhile Newcastle United are having trouble persuading the prospect to join them with the uncertainty surrounding the managerial position on Tyneside.

Alli has impressed this season, scoring 12 goals in 31 appearances, and also grabbing five assists in the same matches.
