Jurgen Klopp’s future looks untenable as fans revolt and let their feelings be known..

Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp has accepted that the club deserves the criticism it’s receiving at the moment after his team slumped to the foot of the Bundesliga table following a 1-0 home defeat to Augsburg.

Dortmund have been in horrendous form this season, winning only four out of their 19 Bundesliga games with relegation a brutal reality come May.

Klopp has previously stated that he wouldn’t resign and the club continued to back him, but last night was the first time that the ‘Yellow Wall’ turned against the team.

Dortmund fans have built a reputation for being some of the most loyal fans in the world, but their dissent during the game shocked the footballing world – prompting captain Mats Hummels and ‘keeper Roman Weidenfeller to calm the fans down.

Klopp was quoted as saying on Goal.com: “We can be accused of anything tonight and it is all justified.”

“Battling also means having the courage to take the right decision. We were missing that tonight. It hurts, no doubt. We are doing everything wrong at the moment. We are not making anything of our chances.”

Relegation or not, the former Bundesliga champions are in serious danger of returning to the dark days the club experienced in the early 2000’s where financial issues ravaged the club.

Champions League revenue is essential for the club and that looks extremely unlikely given their position in table which subsequently puts the future of their star players in doubt.
