New FIFA Rankings Released: England Slip While Ivory Coast Leap Forward After African Cup Of Nations Triumph

FIFA have released the new rankings of international teams, and the Ivory Coast and Australia have seen a successful year, winning the African Cup of Nations and Asia cup respectively, to rise up the table.

There’s disappointing, but albeit predictable, news as England have dropped two places to 15th – a far cry from their best ever position of third less than three years ago.

While Equatorial Guinea, host nation of the African Cup of Nations, have made history for the country after breaking into the top 50 for the first time since the launch of FIFA’s global ranking.
