Winston Reid is irreplaceable for West Ham and the club cannot afford to lose him.
West Ham were given a boost this week with defender Winston Reid reportedly ready to sign a contract extension with his current deal set to expire in the summer, according to Mirror Football.
It was widely expected that Reid would leave on a ‘Bosman’ in the summer with Spurs and Arsenal heavily linked with the New Zealand international.
Reid’s reputation has risen over the past 18-months with consistent performances at the heart of the Hammers’ defence with his team visibly not the same when the defender is absent through injuries.
His days looked numbered when Sam Allardyce said Reid had “no future” at the club as a deal between the club and the player’s representatives couldn’t agree on a deal.
