Ultimate Premier League Free Transfer XI, Including Liverpool Target Danny Ings & Man City’s James Milner

James Milner

A player who has been used mainly from the bench this season, starting only 13 Premier League games. Milner definitely has a place in the Manchester City side and could be picked up by a top side, but his style doesn’t endear himself to fans wanting to watch fast attacking football.

Mathieu Flamini

The 30-year-old Frenchman has been relatively poor this season for Arsenal, making very little impact at all. It would not be a surprise to see him leave the Emirates, but there’s doubts he would make an impact at any top Premier League side.

Michael Carrick

The 33-year-old has started showing his age, due to his bad luck with injuries. That said, he is still a class act and can do a job at most Premier League clubs if he doesn’t get a contract extension at Old Trafford. Any club willing to pay his high wages will have to take a gamble on his fitness though, after he has only played 13 games this season.

Sammy Ameobi

The left winger, brother of one time Newcastle stalwart Shola, had a bright future when breaking into the Magpies first team, but doesn’t look to have fulfilled his potential. He has played in 18 games this season scoring two and assisting two, though he will likely find a Championship club at least.
