Negredo will go down as one of the great wastes of money in City’s history through no fault of his own. Despite an impressive haul of 23 goals across all competitions last term, he was shipped out to Valencia in favour of keeping Stevan Jovetic, which obviously worked out well. The 29-year-old will do well to move on permanently this summer, and City will just be hoping they can recoup the majority of the transfer fee they paid for him.
