The 20-year-old is said to be ready to turn down talks over a new deal yet again this summer as he plans to keep his options open for the future, with a number of top clubs in England and Europe linked with a bid to snap him up in recent times.

Sterling has shown himself to be one of the finest young players in the world in the last year or so, first becoming a regular for Liverpool last season and continuing his superb progress for the Reds this year.

64% of fans to have voted on the Mirror’s poll now think the England winger will not be wearing a Liverpool shirt next season, with only 36% seeming to think the Merseyside giants have a chance of keeping the unsettled starlet at Anfield.
