Two of Arsenal’s brightest hopes, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Calum Chambers featured in the latest addition of ‘car banter’ on the club’s Youtube channel, and were discussing their respective performances in the defeat to Swansea City earlier on this season.
The game is famous for Chambers being given the run around by Swansea winger Jefferson Montero who eventually set-up the winner, which had many questioning why Arsene Wenger couldn’t see what many felt was inevitable.
Chamberlain also came under criticism for not helping our defensively and doubling up to counter Montero’s pace, something the 21-year-old accepts in this frank conversation between the Southampton academy graduates.
Chambers has found opportunities in the first team hard to come by in the second half of the season given the rise of Spaniard Hector Bellerin. He was left out of the squad last week against Liverpool despite being fully fit.
Oxlade-Chamberlain is struggling with a groin injury and according to Arsene Wenger, may have to undergo surgery to cure the chronic problem (via The Telegraph).
