The stopper played the full 90 minutes on Saturday evening as PSG lifted that Coupe de la Ligue after beating SC Bastia 4-0 at the Stade de France.

Unfortunately for Douchez, the former Stade Rennais man has been all-but limited to cup appearances for PSG over recent seasons following the club’s acquisition of Italian international Salvatore Sirigu.

The former Palermo man is Laurent Blanc’s undisputed Number One, leaving Douchez scrapping round for whatever game time he can get.

His inactivity has led to rumours of a summer transfer away from the Parc des Princes. Ligue 1 is full of teams keen to acquire the services of a fine goalkeeper, and the likes of Toulouse, Nantes and defeated league cup finalists Bastia have all been linked with the player.

However, according to Le Foot Gazette des Transfers, Douchez will not be going anywhere this summer, with the stopper preferring the stability of life in the capital.
