The goal furthers Everton’s cause to push on into mid table and move away from the relegation zone and with an extra three points today, they now sit 14 points ahead of the bottom three and move into 10th.

Manchester United, on the other hand, will be disappointed to concede from a set piece and should Liverpool win their game in hand over the Red Devils, their place in the Champions League places could be in doubt.

A loss today would put Louis van Gaal’s side seven points ahead of Liverpool with only four games to play, though the Reds have an extra game to make up the deficit on their arch rivals.

That said, the Old Trafford side have been known to come back from disappointing first half performances in the past and could yet take a point or all three today.
