Chelsea have joined Manchester United, Liverpool, and Juventus in the race to sign PSG star Edinson Cavani, reports the Daily Express.
The Blues may be in need of a new forward due to the injury struggles of current first choice Diego Costa. The 26-year-old has been the victim of repeated hamstring problems throughout his debut season with the Blues.
Cavani could be a good option for manager Jose Mourinho, bringing the all round game that the Portuguese loves to see in a striker. You can add his goalscoring ability to that, having netted 24 times in 47 appearances for the Ligue 1 champions this season. This is despite playing on the wing at times to accommodate Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the middle.
Chelsea hardly look in need of strengthening at the moment, having run away with the Premier League title.
