The youngster has found himself thrust into the United first-team this season after several injury problems for the club at the back, but will now leave the club on loan to the Toffees to gain some valuable experience of playing regularly at Premier League level.
Jonny Evans is also attracting some interest from Roberto Martinez’s side, and these two are certainly players who might struggle to get into the starting lineup at Old Trafford if Otamendi does join.
The Argentine international has been excellent for Valencia this season and looks a great potential signing for United as they look to strengthen in that part of the pitch.
According to the Daily Mirror, the 27-year-old has already agreed the move to England and this deal could officially go through imminently.
