According to Sports Illustated, the biggest surprise was the return of DaMarcus Beasley, who quit international football last year but has been convinced to return by Klinsmann and his staff.
Klinsmann must cut 12 players from the squad to create a final 23 man squad within the next three weeks.
The USA’s first Gold Cup game in on July 7th against Panama in Texas.
