City playing hardball over Reds target.
Manchester City are refusing to let Edin Dzeko leave on the cheap this summer and have reportedly set a £25m asking price for the Bosnian international, who has been linked with Liverpool.
The 29-year-oly had a disappointing season in 2014/15, scoring only six goals in all competitions, a huge drop from the 26 he’d managed in the previous season.
Still, Dzeko remains a highly rated talent and could be on the move to a big club this summer, with the likes of Chelsea and Inter Milan also previously mentioned as possible suitors.
Liverpool have perhaps shown the most interest, but latest reports from The Sun suggest the player would cost as much as £25m to prize away from City this summer.
That may seem a little steap for some clubs, with Stoke City also linked with a move for Dzeko for just £8m in recent times, with the former Wolfsburg man possibly past the peak of his form.
