The 24 year old right-back played in every Premier League fixture for the Clarets last term and sufficiently impressed prospective interested parties and boss Sean Dyche has confirmed that a move to White Hart Lane is ‘active’.

England man Kyle Walker is Mauricio Pochettino’s current first choice right-back but the Spurs star started just 15 Premier League matches last season due to injury issues and a move for Trippier may be with a view to providing able cover in the role.

Dyche has already seen Danny Ings complete a move to Liverpool, the 22 year old’s Burnley contract having expired, and now the Turf Moor boss stands to lose another of his top talents.
