Carrow Road side chase Stamford Bridge forward.

Newly promoted Norwich City are keen on luring Chelsea youngster Patrick Bamford to Carrow Road according to the Daily Mail.

Canaries boss Alex Neil knows his side will need to be at their very best to avoid an instant return to the Championship and having strong goal-scoring options in the final third will greatly aid in that regard.

21-year-old Stamford Bridge striker Bamford has proven a massive success during his loan spells at the MK Dons, Derby County and Middlesbrough but is still yet to make a senior appearance for Chelsea.

Next season Jose Mourinho will be able to call-upon Diego Costa, Radamel Falcao and Loic Remy to fill central striking berths and as such Bamford may struggle to even make the Chelsea bench and as such another loan switch could benefit all concerned.

A move to Norwich City could provide Bamford with some much needed Premier League experience and could act as a possible shop-window if his time at Chelsea ultimately comes to an end.

Bamford was voted the Championship Player of the Year for 2014/15 at the Football League awards after his 19 goal haul at Middlesbrough and the youngster has been capped at England Under-21 level and is clearly a player with a bright future.

Norwich City were indebted to Cameron Jerome in 2014/15, his 20 goal tally helping the club to promotion back to the top tier, however the former Stoke City and Birmingham City man has never been prolific at Premier League level and could struggle to replicate last term’s form.
