Revealed: Chelsea trio wanted to leave after title victory last season

Around ten players are believed to have wanted Chelsea exits over the summer shortly after the club sealed the Premier League title, according to the Daily Telegraph.

The Blues have been in woeful form so far this season, with Jose Mourinho losing his job this week after the club slumped to 16th in the table – just one point above the relegation zone.

However, this latest report seems to suggest that their problems really began at the tail end of the previous campaign with the likes of key players Diego Costa, Willian and Oscar all ready to walk away from the club during the summer transfer window.

Petr Cech, Didier Drogba, Filipe Luis, Juan Cuadrado, Mohamed Salah, Victor Moses and Nathan Ake were the others eager to move on, and all did so with the exception of Ake, who joined Watford on a season-long loan.

And though there are no reasons given for this exodus, it remains clear that they foresaw problems down the road had they stayed.
