Bayern Munich not ruling out Mario Gotze moving to Liverpool

German giants Bayern Munich have reportedly refused to rule out the possibility of playmaker Mario Gotze leaving the club for Liverpool in the near future, according to the Daily Express.

Sporting Director Mattias Sammer admitted that they would need to hold talks with the 23-year-old over his future after he recently confessed that he would love to work with former boss Jurgen Klopp again at some point in the near future.

Gotze’s career was kickstarted under Klopp during four successful years together at Borussia Dortmund, but the player has seen his career stall slightly since making the move to the Alianz Arena in 2013.

This has led to several links to Anfield, as Klopp looks for potential new recruits to help mould his side into something that can challenge for honours since taking over from Brendan Rodgers earlier in the season.

And Sammer addressed the rumours by saying: “Mario’s comments were an indication that we will have to sit down at some point in the coming months and discuss his situation. That is only logical.”
