LFC transfer news: 42-goal Liverpool fan open to 2017 move, Reds take £5.5m for deadwood, Zielinski wage offer revealed

Liverpool have already made three signings ahead of Jurgen Klopp’s first full season in charge, bringing in Loris Karius, Marko Grujic and Joel Matip.

But there’s plenty more business to come between now and September, so LFC transfer news is not in short supply.

Today’s headline news – reported by Sky Sports – is that defender Martin Skrtel is closing in on a £5.5m move to Fenerbahce.

The 31-year-old has lost his place under Klopp and is now considered deadwood, so this looks like a good price.

Talking of deadwood, Chelsea are reportedly keen on Christian Benteke.

Gazzetta World claim that the Reds have tabled a £10.6m bid to Udinese for Poland star Piotr Zielinski, who is expected to feature in today’s game against Northern Ireland.

The Italian publication suggest that the Reds have given the 22-year-old midfielder a wage offer of £35,000 a week over four seasons.

Finally, another Pole, Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski, is apparently open to the prospect of a move to England.

The Metro claim that Lewandowski grew up supporting Liverpool and that he would be keen to join the Reds next summer if they are in the Champions League.

Lewandowski scored 42 goals in 52 Bayern appearances this season, including 30 in 33 in the Bundesliga.
