Day identified for Zlatan Ibrahimovic signing with Manchester United

The Zlatan Ibrahimovic transfer saga is poised to come to an end this week as the Swedish striker will reportedly join Manchester United on Friday.

According to the Daily Star via Gianluca Di Marzio, Zlatan will arrive in Manchester on July 1, 2016 to sign a one-year deal with Manchester United in a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain.

The one-year deal reportedly includes the option of an extra season on wages of £275,000-a-week.

Per the source, Zlatan and his agent Mino Raiola will receive a £4 million “loyalty bonus” from Paris-Saint Germain as a result of staying with the team through June 30.

This past season Zlatan set career-highs in scoring, notching 38 league goals in 31 Ligue 1 matches and 50 goals in 51 total matches. He also tallied 13 assists in Ligue 1 and three in the Champions League.

Zlatan played for current Man United manager Jose Mourinho during a short spell the two were together at Inter Milan. Mourinho was hired earlier this summer to replace Louis van Gaal.
