Bayern Munich’s ongoing spending spree appears poised to reach Arsene Wenger’s front door as the German giants are seeking a move for Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny.

According to the Metro, Bayern Munich are preparing a bid of £16.8 million to submit to Arsenal for the French centre-back. However, the source stated that Arsenal are still considering giving the 30-year-old defender a contract extension.

Koscielny started 44 games for the Gunners across all competitions this past season, scoring four Premier League goals and earning Man of the Match honours four times.

In six seasons with Arsenal, Koscielny has played 180 Premier League games and scored 15 goals. He has made grand total of 248 appearances and 18 goals across all competitions for the Gunners.

On the international level, Koscielny has been capped 29 times for France and scored his first-ever international goal for Les Bleus in a June friendly against Scotland. He has played the full ninety minutes for each of France’s games in Euro 2016.
