An incredible Arsenal own goal gave Chelsea Ladies a head start on Sunday, but the Gunners fought back to secure a 2-1 win which kept them right in the Women’s Super League title race.
Vicky Losada equalised on the stroke of half time, before Danielle van de Donk bagged an 83rd-minute winner to spare – or at least limit – the embarrassment of Alex Scott and Gunners goalkeeper Sari van Veenendaal.

Defender Scott was credited with the own goal, but Dutch international Van Veenendaal was perhaps more guilty for allowing this 40-yard back-pass to slide under her foot.
Arsenal’s victory saw them climb to third in the WSL table, three points behind leaders Manchester City, who have a game in hand.
Meanwhile, Chelsea site second, now just two points ahead of Arsenal.
