West Ham join race for £32m Liverpool flop

West Ham have joined the race for Liverpool striker Christian Benteke according to 90min.

Per the source, the Hammers are considering making a late bid for the Belgium international as they continue efforts to sign a new striker.

The Reds want to sell Benteke and head coach Jurgen Klopp has made it clear he has no plans for the striker next season.

Klopp dropped Benteke from the match day squad going into the 4-3 victory over Arsenal at the Emirates on Sunday.

The East London based outfit lost their first Premier League game of the season 2-1 against Chelsea in the London derby.

The Hammers suffered an injury blow to summer signing Andre Ayew who had to be taken off injured.

The report claims that the Reds want £32 million for the powerful striker and will not accept a lower bid as Crystal Palace have already found out.

Palace could however, make an improved bid after selling Yannick Bolasie to Everton on Monday for with £28m.
