Tottenham team news: Probable lineup vs CSKA Moscow and injury update

Posted by

Tottenham take on CSKA Moscow on Tuesday evening in their second group stage game of the competition.

The north London based club suffered a surprising home defeat at the hands of Monaco in the opening week and know another defeat will put them in a precarious position in Group E.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino will have a decision to make in attack following the injury to Harry Kane. The former Southampton manager will either opt to field the Dutch striker Jansen up top or play an in-form Son Heung-min.

Son scored during Tottenham’s 2-1 win over the newly promoted Middlesborough on Saturday.

Tottenham will also be without, Eric Dier, Danny Rose and Mousa Dembele, who are all out with hamstring injuries. Meanwhile, Moussa Sissoko is also a doubt after he suffered a concussion against Middlesbrough.

CSKA came back from 2-0 down to record a 2-2 draw with the Bundesliga giants Bayer Leverkusen in the opening week of the UEFA Champions league.

Tottenham probable lineup:
Hugo Lloris, Toby Alderweireld, Ben Davies, Jan Vertonghen, Kyle Walker, Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen, Érik, Lamela, Heung-Min Son, Victor Wanyama, Vincent Janssen
