Liverpool ace set to sign new five-year deal while talented starlets will pen contracts

Liverpool midfielder Kevin Stewart is reportedly set to sign a new deal with the club, despite the fact that he just inked a new contract in February.

The 23-year-old has made eight appearances in all competitions so far this season, and has seemingly done enough to prove to Jurgen Klopp that he has a long-term future at Anfield.

Given his style of play and energy, he has shown an ability to fit into the German tactician’s idea of what he wants from his midfielders, and so according to The Daily Mail the Reds will offer him an extension that runs until 2021.

It promises to be a busy period for the club too as the report goes on to add that talented youngsters Ben Woodburn and Trent Alexander-Arnold are closing in on signing with the club.

Woodburn, 17, has already featured for the club’s Under 23s side while Alexander-Arnold has impressed at England Under 19s level which in turn has helped him gain attention from Klopp.

The Liverpool boss has already shown he is more than willing to place his faith in young players, as across his managerial journey thus far he has displayed an ability to help develop their talent and turn them into top players.

He’ll be hoping to extend that at Anfield as having created space for younger players through the sales of some of the stars that he inherited when arriving on Merseyside, he is now giving them the platform to go out and express themselves and establish themselves in the first team where possible.
